Athletes Brodie Talbot and David Bermejo competed Australian U/17s Cycling championships at the Sunshine Coast in Queensland in September 2004. First race was the individual 15km Time Trial. The next day was a 50km road race with a field of 70. Unfortunately after being in a good position in the top 3rd of the field Brodie fell halfway through the second lap of the 5 lap race and broke his collarbone. Rochelle Gilmore fell at World Championships in Melbourne and broke her collarbone; Rochelle was back on the bike and on her way to race in America three days after the fall still hoping to make Olympic Road Team selection which Rochelle narrowly missed out on. After some controversial moments Sean Eadie was selected for the Australian Olympic Track Cycling Team. Sean Rode the Team Sprint event and the Australian Team Sprinters narrowly missed the Bronze Medal in a ride-off against France. Sean was also called into action at late notice to contest the Sprint event, qualifying ninth. Brodie Talbot competed in the Snowy Wilson Memorial Criterium on 6/11/04 at Heffron Park and finished 3rd. After missing the break on the 1st lap he chased for 25 minutes on his own but could not bridge the gap. A great effort.
