Bankstown Sports Cycling - Juniors

At our club racing, juniors are graded according to both age and ability.
(Subject to the number of entries)

In NSW, junior riders compete in the following age divisions . . .
Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19.
The ruling on age divisions goes something like this; Juniors are classed as to the age they turn that year, ie. if little Johny turns 9 this year he can not be under 9, he is under 11 etc. A Junior will advance to the next age division at the start of the track season (mid to late October) brought forward from Jan.1. This is to enable the same gear restrictions to apply for the whole season, not changing after the new year.
