RACE DESCRIPTIONS
Scratch and Bankstown Sports Cup
Racing will begin with a scratch across all divisions, the top riders to qualify for the premier Bankstown sports cup wheelrace event.
Win’n’out (Belgium)
After a designated number of laps a whistle is blown for the first sprint. The winner of the first sprint will take 4th place and is allowed to carefully withdraw from the race. Each proceeding lap sprint will produce the consecutive places from 3rd to 1st. Pick your lap to sprint.
Note: Extra thinking required in this race.
Keirin Cup format
Races will be initially seeded by AusCycling handicapping.
All grades will run 3 keirin races
Within each grade we will run 3 heats.
Each time race you will accumulate points based on finishing position.
1st = 5pts
2nd = 3pts
3rd = 2pts
4th = 1pt
The result of each heat will seed you into your next race
For example
If you win your 1st race your next race will be in the top tier heat.
If you finish at the backend of your 1st race will be in the lower tier heat.
The winner is the rider with the most points in your grade after 3 heats.
